The folk music of the Australian Aborigines was the earliest music of Australia. Aboriginal music declined after European colonisation, and has only recently begun to be revived, often with modernised influences.

Australian band Yothu Yindi have generated an increased interest in Aboriginal music in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
